LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Box (NYSE:BOX) today announced that TÜV Rheinland, a German
certification body, has awarded it the status of Certified Cloud
Service. TÜV Rheinland certifies that Box has implemented and maintained
effective processes and controls that meet the data privacy and security
objectives as defined by TÜV Rheinland’s inspection catalogue which is
based on requirements from the German Federal Data Protection Act, EU
Data Protection Regulation, ISO 27001, IT Infrastructure Library and ISO
20000.

To gain this certification, Box was evaluated by TÜV Rheinland who
conducted analysis of concepts and processes, interviews, walkthroughs
of requirements, a review of performance pledges in contracts and SLAs
as well as penetration tests of the cloud service architecture.
