today announced the appointment of Carrie Palin as the company’s first
Chief Marketing Officer and named Lesley Young and Tom Addis as the
company’s senior sales leadership. Lesley Young will be Senior Vice
President and General Manager of Global Commercial and Online Sales
Operations and Tom Addis will be Senior Vice President and General
Manager of Global Field Operations. Together, Ms. Palin, Ms. Young and
Mr. Addis will lead Box’s integrated go to market strategy and
operations, further bolstering the company’s leadership as it focuses on
growing market share and expanding its addressable market.

Senior Executive Leadership to Fuel Enterprise Growth

bring valuable experience to the company's key growth areas.
Carrie Palin, Senior Vice President and Chief
Marketing Officer
Ms. Palin joins Box with 20 years of enterprise marketing and sales
experience. Most recently, she was the Vice President of Marketing for
IBM’s Cloud Data Services and Analytics Software. Prior to IBM, Ms.
Palin had a distinguished career at Dell, where she helped lead various
marketing groups during her 15-year tenure, including leading the global
team responsible for transforming the digital demand generation model at
Dell.
Lesley Young, Senior Vice President, GM of Global
Commercial and Online Sales Operations
For the past 5 years, Ms. Young has held the role of Senior Vice
President of Corporate Sales at Box where her responsibilities included
leading the strategy and execution for the SMB and Mid-Market sales
segments, the Renewals sales team, and the Sales Operations team as well
as driving demand strategy and pipeline development efforts. Ms. Young
has more than 15 years of experience in high growth pre and post IPO
venture-backed startups. Prior to Box, she held senior executive roles
at MySQL, Informatica and Remedy Corporation.
Tom Addis, Senior Vice President, GM of Global
Field Operations
Most recently, Mr. Addis served as Senior Vice President of Enterprise
Sales at Box where he led the operations and expansion of the company's
Enterprise Sales organization in North America. Prior to joining Box,
Mr. Addis held a variety of sales leadership roles at salesforce.com, as
well as Siebel Systems and IBM. He has over 20 years of experience in
growing and managing large enterprise customer relationships, having
overseen sales organizations at some of the software industry's largest
and most well respected companies.
Building on a record fiscal 2016, in the first quarter of fiscal 2017
