LOS ALTOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Box today announced that the ASPCA® (The American Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®), the first humane society established
in North America, is bringing Box’s cloud content sharing and
collaboration platform to its employees. The ASPCA chose Box as their
primary platform to centralize content management and security as well
as to enable mobile access to information.
With today’s announcement, the ASPCA joins 3,000 nonprofits that have
adopted the Box platform through Box.org, an initiative the company
launched one year ago to empower global nonprofits to achieve their
missions and deliver lasting social impact through better use of
technology.
“Moving to cloud technologies like Box is at the forefront of our
strategy to streamline collaboration, increase mobility, and enhance
security for all of our employees,” said Mary Sobiechowski, VP of IT at
the ASPCA. “As an organization, we are leveraging technology to improve
staff collaboration and increase organizational impact in support of our
life-saving programs on behalf of animals.”
“We launched Box.org one year ago today with the mission to provide
organizations that are doing good with access to innovative technologies
that will help them be more connected, productive, and effective in
achieving their goal,” said Karen Appleton, senior vice president of
Industry Alliances at Box and founder of Box.org. “The ASPCA does
incredible work to improve the lives of animals throughout the United
States. We are thrilled to be working with them to help drive increased
flexibility and greater on-the-go access to the information needed to
support their work providing positive outcomes for at-risk animals.”
The ASPCA’s IT department selected Box to:
-
Provide field teams with a mobile solution to assist in the rescue of
animal victims of both natural and man-made disasters;
-
Improve cross-departmental collaboration by leveraging Box Notes to
allow organizational leads to iterate on critical project charters and
strategic plans;
-
Streamline project management and collaboration and establish
workflows;
-
Provide a unified solution with an intuitive end-user experience to
centralize content management and security.
